All-Scholars Ice Skating
I attended the All-Scholars Ice Skating at Nationwide Arena downtown. It was fun for those of us who aren't Olympic skaters to fall down in front of our friends. It was great to meet some of the students from other Scholars programs and get to see some of downtown Columbus. However, the buses were few and far between (and packed!), the ice rink was really crowded and I had difficulty getting a pair of skates the fit me :( But it was still cool to skate where the Bluejackets play! It was a fun way to kick off March!

I attenDED THE All-Scholars ice Skating with humanities friends. It is my first time ice skating. The feeling of sliding over frictionless ground was so amazing that it feels like i was flying(kind of). It is really cool, although I have fallen badly. But as a first-time skater, I think it is not that bad. Besides, I enjoyed the free pizza and drink. Overall, it is an unforgettable experience.
ReplyDeleteIt's nice to see other scholars groups. We get so involved with Humanities that it's easy to forget that we're not the only ones in the program.
ReplyDeleteI had fun re-learning to skate. Somehow, I managed to only fall once. I haven't been skating since I was a little kid. I think the skill is like riding a bike; you'll always remember how to do it even if it's a little shaky at first.
I attended the All-Scholars Ice skating as well and I definitely had a great time skating with my friends. It was really hard finding skates that fit right.. they hurt a lot! It was super crowded on the rink, so we didn't stay the entire time, but it was fun while it lasted! AND I didn't fall at all haha.
