Humanities Film Festival

I was very impressed by the film festival. The topic was creative, and the videos were entertaining. It was especially rewarding to watch my mentee's films and see the effort they put into their work. The humor and liveliness infused into many of the videos made it an enjoyable event. I was glad to go to the event since I didn't attend last year's, and I was especially impressed by the Wexner Film Center. Overall it was a lovely night and I was glad to experience it.

  1. I consider this year's film festival to be a great success! Though I'll never admit to anyone's video being nearly as great as my group's ;) (just kidding!), I have to say that all of the new Humanities Scholars did a fantastic job! The awards were well-deserved and I could tell how much hard work went into the videos. I congratulate those who took home the trophies this year and I thank everyone for doing such a great job on your videos! I can't wait for next year's videos!

  2. I also attended the Humanities Film Festival this year and it was definitely just as good as last years. I feel that the editing skills displayed in the videos this year were more refined and the videos were great! :D

  3. I attended the Humanities Film Festival this year and was very excited to get to watch our Mentee's video! I thought the freshmen did a great job at coming up with creative ideas along with the actual editing process. The awards winners did an amazing job!

  4. The Humanities Film Festival 2012 style was awesome! The videos were so creative and it was a good opportunity to get a feel for some of the first year Scholars' personalities. I remember making our video last year and laughing so hard watching everyone else's. I'm already looking forward to next year's film festival!

  5. The Humanities film festival this year was impressive. I was expecting a lot of similarities to last years videos, but found that the videos were all very original. I would like to see some of the best previous videos going against the best of the new ones. I have to admit, I was a little worried with such a fundamental and rooted topic because its hard to get creative with such an old idea. Maybe I'm wrong, but I thought our topic of social media was a lot more dynamic because of it's obvious relevance to our age group. Then again, there are some topics in society about Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness.

  6. I thought the festival was really great as well, and that everyone tried really hard. (and it paid off) My one and only problem was that you could not bring food or drink into the wexner theater. I loved the whole popcorn thing last year! :P

  7. The film festival was a fun to watch. Great work by all of the Freshmen. It really showed throughout the show. Ben and Jenna's film was great as always. I can't wait until next year
