Cocoa and Cookies Get Together
After studying in Thompson with my books and notebooks flung around me for the majority of the day, the Humanities Scholars 'Cocoa and Cookies' get together was a great way to unwind and catch up with friends. Now a sophomore, seeing everyone from Haverfield is difficult, but this get together allowed me to see some of my old-floormates from last year! Not only was it nice to reminisce about old times in Haverfield, but it was also great to drink some hot chocolate, eat cookies, and talk about how finals were going. After a long 15 weeks, it was exciting to talk about Christmas and everyone's plans for break.

My favorite part of Humanities events is the fact that I can catch up with old friends and even meet some new ones The cookies and cocoa event did just that. It was a great little study break full of good conversations with Haverfield friends. It was quite an experience to be back in the Hav lobby, a year older and hopefully a year wiser. All the fun memories came flooding back and it turned into quite a nostalgic night. I am thankful I attended and was reminded of some great freshman memories.
ReplyDeleteThe Cocoa and Cookies event was a great idea! Who doesn't want a nicely deserved break after studying for finals (or at least pretending to study for finals in between surfing the internet)? It was great to go back to the old Have lobby and catch up with friends who we hadn't seen for awhile. It was a nice reminder that when things are hectic you have to take some time to destress and enjoy yourself.
ReplyDeleteIt was so fun to meet up with my roommates from last year and hang out in the Haverfield lobby like we used to. It felt like old times again. Having a chance to just hang out, eat cookies, and drink hot chocolate was a great way to escape from the stress of finals for awhile!
ReplyDeleteTim Hortons cocoa- excellent choice. Kroger every day cookies-not so much. I was hoping there would be festive cookies of some kind. still all cookies are delicious. :) It was nice to see people I haven't seen in awhile but as someone who doesn't live near campus, having it on the weekend is a bit of a hassle...
