West Side Story

I didn't really enjoy West Side Story. I went because I had heard great things about it but in general I am just not a musical person so I should have known. However, the theater was beautiful and it was a nice experience. I did like how there was a lot of Spanish in it though. I would not see it again.

  1. So we sat up in the balcony which is terrible for someone with a fear of heights like me. Once I sat down I worried whether or not if I would be able to get back up. Thankfully West Side Story was able to hold my attention or I would have really freaked out. I went to see it because my mom loves the musical and i did enjoy it but some of it was kind of annoying. Some of the songs just were not necessary but over it was a wonderful production.

  2. I also went and saw west side story. I enjoyed the music and the dances but the story like wasnt my favorite. Everyone has always said that west side story is a show to watch on broadway so thats why i went to the show. I loved the dance numbers and some of the songs i knew were very enjoyable. The plot line was very similar to romeo and juliet and the fact that i dont really like romeo and juliet is probably why i did not enjoy west side story as much. Sometimes i couldn't understand their spanish with the accents and i also think that since we were sitting really far we couldn't really see the faces of the characters.
