Water For Elephants

This quarter I attended the viewing of Water For Elephants.  I read the book last summer and never had the opportunity to see the film.  A little rusty on the details, the story quickly came back to me.  Filled with an elephant that loves whiskey and witty comments, the movie proved to be a pretty accurate portrayal of the book.  The story can be lighthearted at some points, but is ultimately outlined by very serious matters including domestic abuse, family deaths, and an old man who has "escaped" to the circus.  I really enjoyed attending the event to see this story in a new light.
