Minute to Win It
So, at this event the mentor groups got together and had a minute to complete various events, like keeping balloons/tissue paper in the air, picking up short paper bags from the floor with only your mouth and with only your feet touching the ground, getting up to 125 steps on a pedomater (or whatever) by shaking your head, getting pennies out of pantie hose using only your hands, getting cotton balls into a bowl with only your nose and vassaline etc. I enjoyed the socialness of the event and how natural it was to cheer on your teammates. And absolutely, we were more efficent with all of us there giving each other suggestions than if it had been any one of doing it by ourselves. I know with the penny hose, I would have had a lot more trouble if someone hadn't suggeted stretching them out so they went further up my arms. I know I wouldn't have had as much success as Balprett did with the pedometer or Renee with stacking the golf balls, so - as cliche as it sounds - it was cool seeing different people do the same activity different ways. I enjoyed it greatly.

So ...I feel shamed that I could not help a lot in the game..the only thing i could do it just to eat the oreo...>< But anyway, my teammates are most awesome girls ever..There were some impossible challenges like blowing the napkin in the air for one minute and golf balls. But my teammates have tried and done all of the work even though facing such tough tasks. And we did succeed in some really hard challenges. It was so fun that during challenging we built teamwork and friendship as well as laughter all the time. We finally got the second place which is so closed to the winner.. But i am still happy with it..we had good performance and fun in all the mentor games and that is more important than the rewards..cant wait for the mentor games for next year~
ReplyDeleteMinute to Minute was awesome. It was fun spending time with the roomies and my mentors. I loved playing the games and though we lost we still got a consolation prize. A replacement slinky was just what I wanted. I would love to do this again next year. I especially liked stacking the dice on the Popsicle stick. It was all fun.
ReplyDeleteI had an awesome time at Minute to Win It! It was a great way to end the year with my mentors and the games were so fun! I put cookies on my face, grabbed pennies out of pantyhose and watched as my teammates did equally ridiculous antics. Though we fought hard for the win, we (unfortunately) didn't place in the top 3.
ReplyDeleteRegardless, I had a really fun time and hope to have as much fun with my mentees next year as I did with my mentors this year!
Minute to Win It was my favorite Mentor Event this year. The activities were really fun and ridiculous but not too difficult, which was cool. The event was really well-organized, as well. My team won, which was awesome and we ended up winning the whole Mentor competition. We should totally do this again next year.
