Lecture on The National Endowment For The Humanities

On September 30th, 2011, I attended the lecture on The National Endowment For The Humanities. Prior to arriving at the Union for this lecture, I had the expectation that many of my fellow Humanities Scholars would also be attending, but to my surprise, the audience was comprised mainly of English and Political Science Department professors. I was one of four OSU students that attended, the others being upperclassmen.
Though I had high expectations for this lecture, it fell short. It was almost identical to the discussion held in Humanities Seminar that same Friday! Throughout the entire 2 hours+ of the lecture, the French words "Deja Vu" ran through my mind.
The most exciting part of the whole lecture had to have been the fact the President Gordon Gee greeted the audience and introduced Mr. Jim Leach! That made it worth the time it took to attend the event!
