Explore Columbus

In all honesty my roommates and I were not looking forward to doing the Explore Columbus project. To us it was just something we had to do and it took time away from our evening and homework. But we all found a time to meet and when the time came departed for the bus stop. It turned out that we all ended up enjoying the time though. We took the bus all the way to the Statehouse and began to look around. There were various shops but we decided to explore the Ohio State Theater, and the Statehouse. They were impressive buildings and I would love to attend a performance at the theater. We also got to see the building for the Columbus dispatch which I found very interesting. The building seemed to be a large symbol of irony. It was all decorated for Christmas and from a distance gave off the usual Christmas cheer. But once we got closer and could read the digital board on the front of the building that scrolled news headlines we noticed that all of the headlines were about murders and and people in the city being caught with child pornography. I didn't know whether the correct response would be to laugh or cry. All in all though it was an enjoyable experience and my roommates and I had fun hanging out and learning about the city.
