The Italian Festival (because I can't post comments)
Last night, I went to the Italian Festival. It was definitely an experience. There was so many people and so much food! There were plenty of food vendors, each with lines of people reaching far out into the midway, waiting to buy their goods. However, there were not many art dealers there, which I found to be disappointing. Overall, the experience was worth it, even if only in the aspect of getting off campus for a little while and getting a little taste of Columbus.

I managed to drop by the Italian Festival on Friday night before I had to work the closing shift at Sloopy's Diner, and I think I got a lot out of the trip. My family heritage is largely Italian and so this was pretty special for me. I got to eat some traditional Italian food, along with funnel cake, of course because you can't really go to a festival and not have funnel cake. I went into the stage tent to eat my food and was serenaded by Italian language songs and several traditional Italian dances. Later on I met up with a couple of my friends from high school who I had no idea were coming, and so that was a pleasant surprise. Overall it was a really good experience and I would definitely go again.
