When I first heard that we would be seeing this musical, I thought to myself, "How could they pull off an amusing film into a musical?" However, I was mistaken! I've been to this theater two times in my life. In the past few years, I have been able to see the plays, "Mamma Mia!" and "Wicked." Both were incredible! If seeing this play did not interest some, the architecture inside is enough to make anybody's head spin. The theater was huge and it made me feel as if I was actually in New York watching a Broadway production. As I am already a fan of certain musicals, it wasn't a surprise to me that I ended up enjoying the songs. In the following days after the performance, I kept singing the songs in my head! To my enjoyment, I was able to buy my own stuffed Gingy! If anybody knows me, I have always loved the Gingerbread man from Shrek! I was also able to enjoy a great evening with my friends! I'm so glad that we were able to do this as a group. Thank you for allowing us to go to such an interesting performance.
I also attended Shrek The Musical and I absolutely loved it! The performers were fantastic and I really liked the songs. It was really cool being able to see the architecture in the theater..so beautiful! I definitely want to attend more theater performances with the Humanities Scholars group.
ReplyDeleteNot only was this my favorite Humanities event I've attended this quarter, but it also happened to be on my 19th birthday! I was very happy with the performance in general, and impressed with design of the stage and costumes. I would love to go see future performances!
