Cartoon library tour
The cartoon library tour was a great opportunity to learn about an art form that is often thought to be childish and sophomoric. The art form in its self can be very beautiful and engaging. The tour guide for the event was very entertaining and knowledgeable about the subject. Overall it was a great event, I just wish more people would have shown up.

I also attended the Cartoon Library Tour. I thought it was really interesting and I really enjoyed the presentation. I have never known much about the art of comics so it was cool to see all the examples of the different kinds. I agree with Seth in saying that the woman was very knowledgeable and entertaining. My friends and I even got a picture with Garfield which is always a plus! Thanks for this event- I would have never visited the library otherwise.
ReplyDeleteThe history of the Cartoon Library was a fascinating subject to learn about and the Cartoon Library tour was a great idea. The presenter was especially engaging with the facts she knew off-hand that weren't included in the presentation.
ReplyDeleteI also thought that the cartoon library tour was really interesting. Prior to the tour I knew absolutely nothing about cartoons. The presenter was wonderful, though, and I learned so much. I thought it was really interesting that much of the cartoon library was donated by just one person! I am looking forward to visiting the renovated library next year.
